All Titles Over 30% Off
![]() |
| Would you refuse a great deal on hot PDFs from this man? |
Just a quick heads up - ALL Geist Hack Games digital titles are marked down by over 30% for the next week at both itch and dtrpg (links below).
The sale at ITCH is already running and there's a mega-saving-bundle of all the titles available, too.
The sale at DTRPG begins tomorrow (because I didn't set it up soon enough lol) and the Carbon Edition and SG Omnibus in print are both also available at a discounted price (as of now).
Sales on both platforms end on the 27th August.
So, if you've been on the fence about some of the titles, now would be a great time to fill out your collection. ;)

[SG:U] New Armours and Ratings for Augments
Following on from my last post regarding new armour rules HERE, I've added a few new armour types and listed ratings for the augments featured in the SG:U Carbon Edition rulebook.
NEW ARMOUR TYPES
Spiderweave Vest - Medium Armour (torso; denser layers of material than the more lightweight arachnoweave sleeve, designed for greater stopping power)
Sentry M3 Combat Carapace (hard alloy clamshell cuirass) - Medium Armour (torso)
Sentry M3A1 Advanced Carapace (polyceramic; lighter weight than M3) - Heavy Armour (torso)
Carbon Mesh Inserts (for fabric plate carriers) - Light Armour (torso)
Kevlar T-shirt (ballistic fabric garment) - Light Armour (torso)
Advanced Infantry Amplifier (external linear frame with attached ceramic plate; requires a coil suit sleeve underneath; interfaced with wearer; Loadout doubled and +1 Morphology; weapon mount hardpoints on forearms and shoulders) - Heavy Armour (rare; milspec technology; full body coverage)
AUGMENTATION ARMOUR RATINGS
When reduced to 0, the augmentation will need replacing.
From the rulebook:
Genexus NeoDerm (toughened skin; +1 Resilience) - Medium Armour (all over)
Cybernetic Limbs count as Light Armour
Cybershells can be manufactured with Light to Heavy Armour (full body)
Ishiteki Augmentation Myomar Tendons Enhanced musculature that can be added to, and strengthen, standard cybernetic limbs (+1 Morphology max) - Medium Armour (per limb)
Sentry Exo-plating Armoured body plating in a variety of styles and finishes,
originally designed for military use in war zones (+1 Resilience max) - Heavy Armour (per location)
Hayabusa Heavy Industries Linear Frame Similar to the exo-frame, but surgically linked and fused to the wearer’s body, the linear frame boosts strength significantly (Loadout is doubled, +1 to both Morphology and Resilience) - Medium Armour (except the head; industrial tech, not designed for combat operations)
Komatsu Systems Skull Gun Bulky grey module fitted into and over the forehead, forming a prominent artificial brow ridge, lined with rows of tiny holes and houses a flechette delivery system (SS/B/FA) reloaded via a port in the temple - Light Armour (when hit in the head, 2-in-6 on d6 chance the brow is struck)
Kanawa-Mendez Spinal Reinforcement
A combination of protective casing and myomar muscle fibres making the host’s spine stronger and much more durable (+1 Morphology and +1 Resilience max) - Medium Armour (torso only)
Ishiteki Augmentation Mirrorshades
Mirrored lenses are implanted in to the host’s orbital ridges, encasing the eyes completely, protecting them from intense light, tear gas, dust and smoke, while providing a handy retinal display,
and enabling low light vision - Light Armour (when hit in the head, 1-in-6 on d6 chance a lens is hit)

[SG:U] Body Armour (new optional rule)
In Sprawl Goons and the Carbon Edition, armour is abstracted and folded into the Dangerous Action Roll as a bonus. Here, I'd like to present an alternative way to handle PC and NPC personal protection.
BODY ARMOUR RULES OPTION
If a character is wearing body armour, they no longer add a +1 bonus to their combat Action Roll. Instead, if a category of armour is worn on the body location hit by an attack, the Armour Rating is deducted from the damage received by the character.
Example:
Katya Kaiser is running for the cover of a parked R-Cab after taking down a Genexus agent. As she does so, another agent takes aim and fires. She dives, but fails her Action Roll, taking damage from the shot which hits her in the torso for 6 points. Katya is still wearing her spiderweave vest, which is classed as medium armour and reduces the damage by 2. So, Katya slides across the rain-slick asphalt, losing just 4 points of Resilience, rather than 6.
There are now three categories of armour:
• Light (-1 damage)
• Medium (-2 damage)
• Heavy (-3 damage)
[Tanksuits are still classed as vehicles and use the Vehicle Combat rules]
PERSONAL PROTECTION / BODY ARMOUR
Roll 2d6
02. Motorcycle Leathers - Light Armour
03. Arachnoweave Sleeve (figure-hugging second skin) - Light Armour
04. Carbon Fibre Flak Vest - Medium Armour
05. Laser-ablative Fabric (only effective vs lasers) - Heavy Armour vs lasers only
06. Impact Gel Inserts - Medium Armour
07. Ceramic Plate (hard armour shell, in sections) - Heavy Armour
08. Heavy Kevlar Jacket - Heavy Armour
09. Exo-frame (doubles Loadout score until you take it off; +1 Morphology) - Light Armour
10. Coil Suit (light-absorbing, black, myomar body suite; artificial muscle fibres confer +1 to Reaction)
- Medium Armour
11. Flame Retardant Sleeve (thin body sleeve; only one round of fire damage applies) - Light Armour
12. Heavy Leather Overcoat - Medium Armour
Armour CANNOT be layered on one location, the minuses do not stack. Layering also reduces character movement at the GM's discretion.
GMs now have the tools to create more armour variation for their characters. The wearing of differing helmets is now also viable.
Examples:
Steel - Medium Armour (-1 Reaction due to weight)
Added Ballistic Visor - Light Armour to protect the face (2-in-6 chance the visor is struck, rather than the helmet proper)
Kevlar - Medium Armour
Motorcycle Helmet - Light Armour
Ceramic - Heavy Armour
Arachnoweave Bandana - Light Armour
ARMOUR DEGRADATION
Armour can still be Slagged, as per the SG:U rules. Whether that rule is in play or not, no armour is beyond destruction. Any armour will degrade by 1 point when hit, if any damage penetrates and gets through to the wearer. When that armour is rated 0, it becomes useless and must be repaired or replaced.
Any thoughts on this are welcome in the comments below.

Street Stories So Far
The Street Stories series is an occasional series of short adventure seeds for your games of Sprawl Goons: Upgraded (or cyberpunk system of your choice).
While these are not fully fleshed-out adventure modules, in the traditional sense, there is enough detail here to ensure you are table-ready at short notice. Hopefully, the ideas contained within these adventure seeds will lead to many hours of entertaining cyberpunk gaming.
- 01 - Gland Theft Metro features a dangerous deal for an unusual narcotic, between a Vietnamese syndicate and parties unknown. But who else has the skinny on what's going on?
- 02 - Hot Skull takes your players on a frantic manhunt across The Flow, and serves to introduce them to a number of different factions and locations across the city.
- 03 - Drive Time has the PCs sent on a run to grab an information broker's hard drives, one of which holds a very important key. But who is their mysterious patron? And why must the broker be eliminated?
- 04 - Crosstown Trafficking where the PCs are tasked with locating a missing 'person', involving bounty hunters, FEMA, Texan insurgents, Korean leisure criminals, algaeculture and the Kanawa-Mendez corporation.
