[SG:U] New Armours and Ratings for Augments

Following on from my last post regarding new armour rules HERE, I've added a few new armour types and listed ratings for the augments featured in the SG:U Carbon Edition rulebook.

NEW ARMOUR TYPES

Spiderweave Vest - Medium Armour (torso; denser layers of material than the more lightweight arachnoweave sleeve, designed for greater stopping power)

Sentry M3 Combat Carapace (hard alloy clamshell cuirass) - Medium Armour (torso)

Sentry M3A1 Advanced Carapace (polyceramic; lighter weight than M3) - Heavy Armour (torso)

Carbon Mesh Inserts (for fabric plate carriers) - Light Armour (torso)

Kevlar T-shirt (ballistic fabric garment) - Light Armour (torso)

Advanced Infantry Amplifier (external linear frame with attached ceramic plate; requires a coil suit sleeve underneath; interfaced with wearer; Loadout doubled and +1 Morphology; weapon mount hardpoints on forearms and shoulders) - Heavy Armour (rare; milspec technology; full body coverage)

AUGMENTATION ARMOUR RATINGS

When reduced to 0, the augmentation will need replacing.

From the rulebook:

Genexus NeoDerm (toughened skin; +1 Resilience) - Medium Armour (all over)

Cybernetic Limbs count as Light Armour

Cybershells can be manufactured with Light to Heavy Armour (full body)

Ishiteki Augmentation Myomar Tendons Enhanced musculature that can be added to, and strengthen, standard cybernetic limbs (+1 Morphology max) - Medium Armour (per limb)

Sentry Exo-plating Armoured body plating in a variety of styles and finishes,

originally designed for military use in war zones (+1 Resilience max) - Heavy Armour (per location)

Hayabusa Heavy Industries Linear Frame Similar to the exo-frame, but surgically linked and fused to the wearer’s body, the linear frame boosts strength significantly (Loadout is doubled, +1 to both Morphology and Resilience) - Medium Armour (except the head; industrial tech, not designed for combat operations)

Komatsu Systems Skull Gun Bulky grey module fitted into and over the forehead, forming a prominent artificial brow ridge, lined with rows of tiny holes and houses a flechette delivery system (SS/B/FA) reloaded via a port in the temple - Light Armour (when hit in the head, 2-in-6 on d6 chance the brow is struck)

Kanawa-Mendez Spinal Reinforcement

A combination of protective casing and myomar muscle fibres making the host’s spine stronger and much more durable (+1 Morphology and +1 Resilience max) - Medium Armour (torso only)

Ishiteki Augmentation Mirrorshades

Mirrored lenses are implanted in to the host’s orbital ridges, encasing the eyes completely, protecting them from intense light, tear gas, dust and smoke, while providing a handy retinal display,

and enabling low light vision - Light Armour (when hit in the head, 1-in-6 on d6 chance a lens is hit)

  1. I like where this is going. But I have some ideas I would like to share, too
