All Titles Over 30% Off

Would you refuse a great deal on hot PDFs from this man?

Just a quick heads up - ALL Geist Hack Games digital titles are marked down by over 30% for the next week at both itch and dtrpg (links below).

The sale at ITCH is already running and there's a mega-saving-bundle of all the titles available, too.

The sale at DTRPG begins tomorrow (because I didn't set it up soon enough lol) and the Carbon Edition and SG Omnibus in print are both also available at a discounted price (as of now).

Sales on both platforms end on the 27th August.

So, if you've been on the fence about some of the titles, now would be a great time to fill out your collection. ;)

Street Stories So Far

The Street Stories series is an occasional series of short adventure seeds for your games of Sprawl Goons: Upgraded (or cyberpunk system of your choice).

While these are not fully fleshed-out adventure modules, in the traditional sense, there is enough detail here to ensure you are table-ready at short notice. Hopefully, the ideas contained within these adventure seeds will lead to many hours of entertaining cyberpunk gaming.

  • 01 - Gland Theft Metro features a dangerous deal for an unusual narcotic, between a Vietnamese syndicate and parties unknown. But who else has the skinny on what's going on?

  • 02 - Hot Skull takes your players on a frantic manhunt across The Flow, and serves to introduce them to a number of different factions and locations across the city.
  • 03 - Drive Time has the PCs sent on a run to grab an information broker's hard drives, one of which holds a very important key. But who is their mysterious patron? And why must the broker be eliminated?
  • 04 - Crosstown Trafficking where the PCs are tasked with locating a missing 'person',  involving bounty hunters, FEMA, Texan insurgents, Korean leisure criminals, algaeculture and the Kanawa-Mendez corporation.

As usual, they're all available from itch, too - https://p-d-gallagher.itch.io

And there's more to come! Stay tuned.

So, what's out there for Sprawl Goons? Lots.

I thought it might be helpful if I put a post together which outlines what's currently available for the Electrum Best Selling Sprawl Goons: Upgraded line. There's more than you think!

Geist Hack Games Link

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Cyberpunk Roleplaying
The original core rules that expanded on the one sheet game-jam version, that debuted on itch.io. Everything you need to play, if you like your dark futures lite.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Booster Pack
The premier add-on that introduces specific augmentations, quirks, weapons, ammo options, armour, narcotics, software, corporations and the first look at the 36 (d66) character backgrounds.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Plug-in Pack
The second supplement that adds more optional rules, detailed cyberspace consoles, weapon modifications, heavy weapons, weapon ranges, personal drones, more augmentations and how you might have got them, shardware, cybershell criticals and death, and random character aesthetics.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Metal Express
The vehicle supplement, including vehicle classifications, DS numbers, vehicle add-ons and options, maneuvers, chases, vehicle combat, vehicle mounted weapons and defenses, pedestrians, collisions, critical damage and control rolls, repairs, hacking vehicles, mechanics for hire and the vehicle showroom, showcasing a variety of designs.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - The Flow
A cyberpunk city sandbox, including the map with 80 varied futuristic locations, plus 36 random locations. A detailed backdrop to run any urban cyberpunk campaign.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Carbon Edition

This volume is a combination of the rules found within the Sprawl Goons; Upgraded rulebook, the Booster Pack, the Plug-In Pack, as well as the Metal Express and The Flow supplements, with an improved layout for easier reading, PDF with bookmarks and available as a shiny A5 hardback.

There are also a few rules updates in this edition - there's a new stat, Affinity, for those interpersonal challenges, more starting gear, Inventory is now Loadout, no Initiative, just Reaction rolls, updated Quirks, explosives defined, vehicle combat is included in the combat section, improved EMP rules, better Advancement options, more game info for narcotics and withdrawal rules, comprehensive gear price lists, plus common enemies and their Difficulty Scores. And there's a new fancy-ass character sheet.
It's the same fast-paced game, just more of it!

(Note: If you have this version in print or PDF, you DO NOT need to purchase Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Cyberpunk Roleplaying, the Booster Pack, the Plug-in Pack, Metal Express or The Flow - these are all INCLUDED in the Carbon Edition. Also available as a PDF at itch.io and in print at Lulu.)

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - The Flow A3 Deluxe Map Pack

A larger format map of the Flow, designed for printing, which includes a higher degree of detail, such as the subway system and stations, FPD precincts and gang turf, which can be toggled on and off in layers.
A variety of the map variants are included as jpg files, so you can print the information you need.
Requires a copy of The Flow to make use of the information in this pack.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Street Stories 01: Gland Theft Metro

The first in a line of adventure outlines, which contain all you need to run an interesting and exciting episode in the city called The Flow. This outline includes the Bhin Xuyen criminal syndicate, a freaky new narcotic, wayward corporate aristocracy and crooked cops.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Street Stories 02: Hot Skull

The second adventure seed, Hot Skull takes the players on a frantic manhunt across The Flow, and serves as a way to introduce them to a number of different locations across the city, in pursuit of a mnemonic courier in deep trouble.

The above titles are all also available at itch.io.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Adventure: Kickin' Dogs [Gregorius 21778]

Technically, the very first 'official' Sprawl Goons adventure! A loosely structured urban search and rescue scenario, that pits the PCs against a violent gang of detestable punks. A great introductory adventure and one which I have run myself. PWYW.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Goon Tracker Sheet [Gregorius 21778]

A FREE and handy referee aid for Sprawl Goons NPCs.

LINK

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Stay Sharp / Use Shards [Gregorius 21778]

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Drones You May See In The Sprawl [Gregorius 21778]
Compiled from blog articles, inspired by the Booster Pack and Remote Control and includes 11 new drones, how to hack them, what to do with a hijacked drone, legally acquired drone prices. Ideas for the referee and new toys for the PCs.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - 99 Items For A Turbosensei [Gregorius 21778]
A big list of (mostly) new, shiny loadout items that might be favoured by the Turbosensei character background,  first introduced in the Booster Pack and subsequently in the Carbon Edition. Also serves as a bonus gear list for the game, as well as a what do you find on the dead turbosensei NPC list.
More turbo, more sensei.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Sprawl Survey: Bio Cops & Cybrids [Gregorius 21778]
Ever wondered what working for the Cognition Verification Bureau is like? What make them different to regular FPD cops? Curious as to what a cybrid is, or what make them different? Gregorius21778 and I had a deep-dive conversation about it for the blog, and this is the result (for FREE).

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Data Shard GRG-217-/23 [Gregorius 21778]
A compilation of articles first published on the Gregorius21778 blog, which includes Metragus - a traffic control A.I. and on how to hack it, Mole Troopers - illegal gene-spliced soldiers as NPCs, or PC template, Optional Resilience Rules, Optional Recovery Rules, a ready-to-cut-into-your-adventure scene including a cyberpsycho, a possible distraction for your PC in the form on a reinforced apartment door, SelfieBots - little drones a PC may want to abuse, Synthface Masks - an item for characters trying to evade surveillance, CorpGoon Loudout Generator - a simple set of tables for arming and equipping adversaries, Capsule Hotel Guests - a D66 table with NPC ideas, and Shitty Places to Live - a 2D6 table to find out where a fresh PC (or downtrodden NPC) might reside.

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Data Shard GRG-217-/24 [Gregorius 21778]
More blog articles, edited and compiled into a supplement for Sprawl Goons. This issue includes Simon the Identity Forger an NPC, the Park-n-Fly Parkade - a new location & world building, Sky Aerie Drone Carrier - a dirigible drone dock, Crowd-Funded Militant - a new PC Background Option, Failed Rec/Creator - another new PC Background Option, Outdated, Shoddy and Available - sample used vehicles, Doberborgs - cyberized guard animals, EVA-C - rescue drone class Cameron's SUV - an example armoured vehicle with a little extra, the Sagittarius - a special purpose sniper rifle, the Kumo Heishi - a new entry drone, Turbosensei Loadout Generator, Punk Loadout Generator, Biker  Loadout Generator, and Wrenchwork: Rageride - a scene to throw into any adventure.

PLUS, there's a ton of G21778's cool cyberpunk-themed supplements and articles HERE.

And HERE we talk about the FPD's Transmission Felonies cops, which I have no doubt will soon be another world-building Sprawl Survey in the near future (pun intended).

SG:U - Street Stories

Street Stories is intended to be an occasional series of short adventure seeds for your games of Sprawl Goons: Upgraded (or cyberpunk system of your choice).

Gland Theft Metro is the first in the series, ten pages detailing  a dangerous deal for an unusual narcotic, between a Vietnamese syndicate and parties unknown. And who else has the skinny on what's going on?

Hot Skull
is the second adventure framework, 14 pages taking the players on a frantic manhunt across The Flow, and serves to introduce them to a number of different factions and locations across that city.

Both titles are available on itch and DTRPG now!

SG:U - The Flow Deluxe A3 Map Pack

I've been meaning to get this one released for a while now. Glad to announce it has finally gone live!

So, what do you get for your bityuan?

A set of large A3 300dpi colour map files of the city known as The Flow, the default setting from the SG:U Carbon Edition.

It includes 20 high-res jpeg images, showing 38 street gangs and their zones of influence, the subway network linking to Core Transit, locations of the beleaguered FPD precincts and the reach of the contaminated Containment Zone 9, and combinations thereof.

Also included in the pack is a high-res, print-ready PDF, so you can toggle data on and off, depending on what you need to focus on!

And its stat-free, so will work as a setting for any cyberpunk RPG. Requires the use of The Flow sourcebook, also from Geist Hack Games, but if you are rocking the Carbon Edition, you already have all the data you need to fully make use of the map pack.

And, as is my want, the map pack is available on both itch and drivethru.

The Flow

The Flow is a city.

The Flow is also people, finance, goods, data, all channeling through the filthy arteries of the metroplex, 24 hours a day.

And it's what the locals call their corner of this decaying sprawl of stratoscrapers, assembleries, habstacks, arcologies, multi-malls, company hubs, geodesics and hive-slums; a metropolitan axis that stretches all the way from Boston to Atlanta. Nobody on the street can remember what this place used to be called anymore.

---

A system-neutral cyberpunk city sandbox, including a map and 80 DETAILED LOCATIONS spread across 21 dystopian districts. A perfect place to set your cyberpunk campaign. Its out now.

**NOTE: If you already own the Sprawl Goons: Upgraded CARBON EDITION, you already have the contents of this PDF! This is being made aviailable for those who don't.**

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Expertise

Art by lap-pun-cheung. Not used in Sprawl Goons. Dammit.

Text taken from the upcoming print edition of Sprawl Goons: Upgraded:

Backgrounds in Sprawl Goons were originally conceived to add flavour to player characters, but here’s some associated benefits in the form of Expertise for each Background type.

To trigger an Expertise roll, the situation must be an appropriate one for the roll to be made and is usually requested by the player looking for a specific advantage, but can be called for by the GM (usually to help newer players). An Expertise roll is allowed once per scene or combat encounter, as stated in the description.

Use the following Difficulty Scores as a guideline for the Expertise roll. Each Expertise type confers a +1 to the roll and specifies which stat to use, as noted in the entries below.
  • Character is under no stress DS10
  • Character is under moderate stress DS12
  • Character is under major stress DS14
Any Upgrade dice are in addition to other Upgrade dice, such as those provided by augmentations, gear, consoles or narcotics.

11. Zone Wars Veteran
• Situational Awareness
+1 to an Equilibrium roll to add Upgrade dice to your attack, once per combat encounter.

12. Komatsu Killmorph

16. Clone Interrupted
• Masquerade
+1 to an Affinity roll to imitate the person you’re a copy of, but only when you’ve discovered their identity, once per scene.

21. Robotnik

22. Runaway Splice

23. Strato-cabbie

26. Jaded Jurōjin

36. Datasocialist Insurgent

Sprawl Goons - An Overdue POD Update

Just a quick heads-up that I've recently made some good progress on the layout of the swanky new POD version of Sprawl Goons: Upgraded. I'm in the last stages before I submit to Lulu for a proof copy, so we are now looking at a matter of weeks to release.

This version collates all the material from the original rules, plus the contents of both the Booster Pack and the Plug-In Pack, with a revised layout. There are also select vehicle rules from Metal Express included in this release. There are some (minor) revisions, mostly for clarity, but this version will also include some extras. More details when the book is released into the wild.

In the meantime, here's a couple of spreads from the book to prove it's really a thing, actually. ;)

Metal Express OUT NOW!

Put the pedal to the metal in your Sprawl Goons campaigns, with Metal Express!

Inside you'll find (lite) rules for vehicle types, plus tables of abilities, quirks, bolt-ons and interiors, to customise your ride.

There's new rules for manoeuvres, races and chases, vehicles in combat and dogfights, control rolls, ramming, pedestrians, collisions, along with the really big guns - missiles, cannons, decoys, and more - and the necessary vehicle crits table, for when it all goes horribly wrong.

We've even given you the means to hack your enemy's transportation!

Plus, guidance on repair work times and costs and some Sprawl-based mechanics to do the dirty work.

Finally, visit the Showroom for a wide selection of sample vehicles, from motorcycles and jet skis, to submarines, blimps, tank suits, jets, VTOLs and main battle tanks.

All this is crammed in to 46 pages of high octane Sprawl Goons content!

Sprawl Goons: Upgraded - Kickin' Dogs

Kickin' Dogs is the FIRST EVAH third party adventure created specifically for Sprawl Goons: Upgraded, written by Kai Puetz aka Gregorius 21778, with the blessing of yours truly.

As it states on the cover, KD is focussed on 'an odd job to be done in a hurry', which is, typically, the bread-and-butter of every goon in the Sprawl.

At 14 pages, it's nicely detailed for a PWYW title and includes data on the Razordogz gang, their area of operations in the Sprawl, the Johnsman Cut-Off, the gang's bolt-hole, as well as the antagonists and the person-of-interest.

It's open and freeform, allowing a variety of plans and solutions to be concocted by your players, which is a favourite GM strategy of mine. Kickin' Dogs also includes all the DS numbers and NPC details you'll need to run your PCs through this one or two session scenario.

Note: English is not the author's first language, but that isn't an issue in the main, and his love of all things cyberpunk really shines through. All in all, a great little scenario at a great price. I like it. I'd run it.

Also released by Kai, is the rather handy dandy Goon Tracker Sheet. This one is a freebie, and is exactly what you'd expect - its a sheet for keeping tabs on your NPCs and their DS numbers (and any other notes you might want to add).

Definitely one of those things I wish I'd come up with!

Super useful, and you can't go wrong with a free download.
